Blessed Hope Family, Inc (“Organization,” “we,” “our,” “us, or “BHF”) is committed to protecting the privacy and the confidentiality of personal information entrusted to us. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard personal information in accordance with applicable laws and in furtherance of our mission

1. The Organization’s Mission

Blessed Hope Family, Inc. is a nonprofit organization operated exclusively for religious, charitable, scientific, literary, educational, and governmental purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

Our mission is to provide advocacy, support groups, counseling, events, material assistance, and other support services to foster and adoptive families so caregivers can stay stronger for longer and create stronger, more stable homes for the children in their care. We seek to strengthen families through compassionate support rooted in Christian values and Biblical principles.

We believe the Bible to be the inspired and authoritative Word of God, and we strive to serve all persons with Christian love and integrity.

2. Collection and Use of Personal Information

We collect, use, and retain personal information only to the extent reasonably necessary to fulfill our organizational mission, comply with legal obligations, and maintain operational 

effectiveness. 

2.1 Donor Information

We may collect personal information from donors, including but not limited to:

  • Name, address, email address, and phone number
  • Donation history and preferences

Such information is used to:

  • Process donations and maintain financial records
  • Communicate regarding donations and organizational updates
  • Conduct fundraising and stewardship activities

Confidentiality of Donor Information:

  • Donors may request anonymity at any time, and such requests will be honored to the extent permitted by law
  • Donors may opt out of communications at any time
  • BHF does not sell, rent, or trade donor information

Limited donor information may be disclosed internally or to authorized representatives for legitimate fundraising or financial stewardship purposes. All other disclosures are prohibited unless required by law.

2.2 Employee and Volunteer Information

We collect personal information from employees and volunteers for legitimate organizational purposes, including:

  • Recruitment, screening, and onboarding
  • Training, supervision, and performance management
  • Administration of compensation, benefits, and policies
  • Background checks 
  • Legal and regulatory compliance

Such information is maintained in a confidential manner and accessed only by authorized personnel.

2.3 Foster and Adoptive Family Information

We collect personal information from foster and adoptive families to:

  • Establish and maintain relationships
  • Provide support services, referrals, and program participation
  • Communicate relevant information regarding resources and opportunities

Information is used solely for purposes reasonably related to providing services and fulfilling Blessed Hope Family’s mission.

3. Disclosure of  Personal Information

BHF does not sell, lease or otherwise distribute personal information to third parties for marketing or commercial purposes. 

We may disclose personal information:

  • To employees, volunteers or authorized agents as necessary to carry out the organizational functions.
  • To service providers or partners under confidentiality obligations
  • As required by applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request
  • To protect the rights, safety, or property of BHF or others

4. Mobile Communications and SMS Data

BHF may collect mobile phone numbers for communication purposes. 

No Sharing of Mobile Data:

  • Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes
  • SMS opt-in data, consent, and message history will not be disclosed to any third parties, except as required by law

Opt-Out Rights: 

Recipients may opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying: STOP, QUIT, END, REVOKE, OPT OUT, CANCEL, or UNSUBSCRIBE

5. Messaging Terms and Conditions

By providing your mobile number and giving verbal opt-in consent, you authorize Blessed Hope Family, Inc. to send you informational text communications, including but not limited to:

  • Appointment reminders
  • Program updates
  • Notifications related to services BHF provides or participation in

Consent to receive messages is not a condition of participation in services or programs. 

6. Data Security

The Organization implements reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and the Organization cannot guarantee absolute security.

Personal information is retained only for as long as necessary to:

Individuals may:

  • Request access to personal information maintained about them

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children except where necessary to provide services to foster or adoptive families and with appropriate parental, guardian or authorized caregivers consent.

This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically to reflect changes in legal requirements or organizational practices. Updates will be posted with a revised effective date.
